About our Scholarship Program
Stand Like Stone gives educational scholarships, which promote the recipients’ education through an approved Australian course. Stand Like Stone’s Educational Scholarship Fund was established to provide money for scholarships, bursaries or prizes which promote the recipients’ education in a recognised pre-school, primary, secondary or tertiary course and are awarded on merit or for reasons of equity. Donations to the Educational Scholarship Fund are tax deductible.
How are scholarships awarded?
Scholarships are awarded on:
- Reasons of equity (such as students who are experiencing socio-economic disadvantage or hardship, or living with disability. Other reasons may include special needs flowing from age, gender, ethnicity or geographic location).
- Merit (The basis of merit can be academic and can also include non-academic criteria where they are sufficiently connected with the educational objectives such as sporting or artistic ability where the sporting or artistic pursuit is part of the curriculum).
What can the scholarship be used for?
The scholarship can be used for:
- Approved curriculum and courses at Australian educational institutions (such as pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools, higher education institutions and registered training organisations) that are approved or recognised by Australian educational authorities.
- Related living and boarding costs
Who can apply?

- People enrolled in or intending to enrol in a recognised course of study. This must be an approved curriculum and/or course at an Australian educational institution that is recognised by Australian educational authorities.
