Friends of Stand Like Stone
Friends of Stand Like Stone is a donor program for community-minded individuals who contribute $500 annually to support the Foundation’s operations and long-term impact.
The Friends of Stand Like Stone program invites individuals to become part of a committed circle of supporters who believe in the power of local philanthropy. With an annual donation of $500 to the Public Fund, Friends help sustain the operations of the Stand Like Stone Foundation and ensure its continued service to the Limestone Coast.
Originally launched in 2004 as the Founding Friends program, the initiative has evolved over time. Between 2021 and 2023, donations were split between operational support and a dedicated Friends Sub Fund, which now holds $7,950 for general granting purposes. In 2024, the Board simplified the program to direct the full $500 donation toward operational costs—maximising impact and reducing administrative burden.
Friends receive insider updates, invitations to sponsor events, and a digital badge to showcase their support. More importantly, they become part of something bigger: a growing network of people who believe in building a stronger, more resilient Limestone Coast through community-led giving.
With a cap of 15 Friends per year, the program offers a meaningful way to contribute, connect and champion local impact.
