Established to strengthen not-for-profit organisations connected to the greater Penola Coonawarra region through charitable community development.

The Monbulla School Hall Community Development Sub Fund was created in 2023 following the sale of the historic Monbulla School site—originally built in 1894 and later home to the Monbulla Hall. The site had long served as a centre for learning and community connection in the Penola Coonawarra district.

To honour that legacy, the Monbulla School Committee partnered with Stand Like Stone to establish two sub funds. This fund supports the sustainability of not-for-profit organisations engaged in charitable activities within the greater Penola Coonawarra region.

Grants may assist with operational costs, program delivery, or capacity building—ensuring local organisations can continue making a meaningful impact. It reflects a commitment to community resilience and long-term support, rooted in the values of the Monbulla community.

Stand Like Stone is deeply grateful to have been entrusted with this legacy, and proud to help ensure the Monbulla School continues to serve the district in new and lasting ways.
